Pemberly 12x12 Layout

I made this layout with our new Pemberly paper packet, which is another multi-purpose paper packet.  The Bohemian Assortment is a great embellishment package to use with Pemberly (the buttons and the doilies).  I also added Natural Hemp as the "ribbon" and pearl Opaques.  The stamp sets I used were:  Love Life and Family Love.

The Family Love stamp set is Cricut AP compatible,  so I cut the cardstock piece that I stamped the quote on.  The quote says, "You don't choose your family; they are God's gift to you as you are to them."  The Family Love stamp set is
chock full of "family" quotes and a great one to have if you scrapbook family photos.

"Unique" Layout

When I was creating this layout, I had my daughter, Stephanie, in mind.  Her favorite colors are Turquoise and Brown, and she LOVES bling, so this looks like her.  The only problem is that she is so busy, we haven't had
time for a photo shoot!

I used the Stella Paper Packet along with the Love Life stamp set and our new "Sparkle Flourishes."  I also used Cocoa-colored seam binding ribbon.  I cut the large flower and "Unique" with the Cricut AP Cartridge.

On the right side of the layout I used the Fashionista and Just For You stamp sets.  The Fashionista stamp set has a wonderful quote that says, "Love Who You Are," and I think that is good advice for each of us.

The flowers are from the Just for You stamp set.  That stamp set is really awesome because you get to choose your petals.  It is Cricut compatible with our cartridge, so I cut the flowers out; stamped the outline; and then stamped the petals individually.

This close up shows the petals better.  I rock 'n rolled each petal using Sunset and Lagoon stamp pads.  I think it gave a cool Bohemian look to the flowers and the layout in general.  I typically distress everything with ink, but I decided to sand everything for this layout.

Congratulations Card

This Pemberly card was cut out on the Cricut (you just have to love that Cricut AP Cartridge!).   I used the Card Word Puzzle to stamp the flowers, leaves and "congratulations."   I stamped the flowers and the leaves with Brown StazOn ink and then water colored the flowers with  Buttercup ink and the leaves with Desert Sand.  I stamped the flourish with the Love Life stamp set.

The butterflies are from the Color Ready Accents assortment and I sponged Honey ink over them.  I embellished the card with Bronze Glitz Glitter Gel, Pearl Opaques, and ribbon from my stash.

Pemberly Sympathy Card

Our new Pemberly Paper is perfect for many themes.  This is a sympathy card that I made using the Cricut AP Cartridge, A Blossom stamp set, Love Life stamp set, Pearl Opaques and ribbon.  I cut the floral scalloped circle, the sentiment piece and the rose with the cricut. I also corner rounded the upper right and the lower left corners of the card base.

The "A Blossom" stamp set is one of our new $6.95 stamp sets.  There are many of them in the new catalog and I call them the "Deal of the Day" because you get a lot of bang for your buck!

A Week of Stamp Camp Projects - #1 - Tailor Made Thinking of You

Stamp Camp is an event that I hold annually and this year was the 9th year.  The purpose of Stamp Camp is to learn new techniques.   We used the Elemental Paper Packet, paired with cardstock, for each of the projects!  You will see the versatility of Elemental with each project,
as the week goes on.

*For this card we rubbed the stamp pads on wax paper; laid the tag on the ink and pressed it a little.  Then we spritzed water over the wax paper  (which re-activated the ink) and laid the tag back on it and pressed it again.  When you lift it up it has a really cool watercolor looking image.  We set it aside to dry as we worked on the other steps.
*We used crumpled seam binding as our ribbon - we spritzed it with water and crumpled it up and let it dry.  To get the fluffy bow, we tied three bows with the one length of ribbon securing it with a glue dot to hold it when we finished (you just keep tying bows until you run out of ribbon).
*The stamps that were used were:  Tailor Made, Love Life, and Childhood Portrait (for the sentiment).
*We used Pin Clips, a large sparkle, and a large bling button to finish this beautiful card off!

I hope you visit tomorrow to see the next project!

Christmas Joy Layout

I can't wait until Christmas gets here and I have photos to add to this cute layout!  This 2-page layout features Believe Level 2 Paper, Dimensional Elements Monograms, Bling Buttons, our cute new Holiday Pockets and Prisma Glitter.

I used one of the Reindeer Zip Strips in the paper packet as "ribbon" across the layouts.  I also used the Love Life stamp set to add the flourishes.

**Tip - To embellish the "JOY"  Dimensional Elements Monograms I sponged them with Sweet Leaf Ink;  I stamped a patterned stamp from the Love Life stamp set with Topiary Ink; I let the ink absorb into the chipboard a few minutes and then I covered them with Bonding Memories glue and sprinkled Prisma Glitter over them.

I cut the scalloped banner with the Cricut AP Cartridge and added bonding memories glue to the edges and sprinkled Prisma Glitter over that piece as well.  I think it adds just the right amount of glitz.

Santa's Workshop Kids Kamp Projects

Yesterday I had my first annual Santa's Workshop Kids Kamp, so that kids had an opportunity to come make gifts for family members.  We had so much fun and I wanted to share the projects that the kids made.

These are refrigerator magnets.  We cut the flowers on the Cricut and stamped them with the Hooray Bouquet stamp set.  The colors are Garden Green, Sorbet, and Creme' Brulee.  We used Alene's Magnetic Tacky Dots for the magnet and the pebbles were adhered with Liquid Glass.

This fun bracelet is perfect to use up old (or new) buttons.  I used our Pink Button Assortment for this bracelet but each child got a different selection of buttons.  We stung the buttons with "Stretch Magic Jewelry and Bead Cord" that I purchased at Michael's.  When you make this type bracelet you need to wrap the Stretch Magic cord around your wrist twice which allows for the overlapping that naturally occurs as you string the buttons.

We took a $1 pocket calendar from Michael's Dollar Spot and created a work of art.

We used Roxie Paper, the Cricut to cut out the heart, Mad About You Stamp Set (December Stamp of the Month),  Winter Joy Stamp Set, Save the Date Stamp Set, black ribbon, and Just Blooms Paper Shapes to transform this pocket calendar.

And, last but not least, a plain wooden frame (also purchased at Michael's), becomes a work of art!  Wouldn't it be a perfect gift for grandparents with a family photo or the child's school portrait?

The kids were able to choose which color of paint they wanted to use for their frame.

I cut all of the roses from Colonial White Cardstock on the Cricut.  The kids chose which color they wanted their roses to be.  I mixed water and re-inker in little spritz bottles (I used Lagoon, Cranberry, and Sweet Leaf re-inker).  We spritzed them and set them aside to dry.  When they were dry we sponged the edges with Desert Sand ink.

We used the Love Life Stamp Set to stamp these beautiful flourishes with Brown StazOn Ink.  I know that I keep saying it, but Love Life is my FAVORITE stamp set in this catalog!

The red frame is my favorite one (because it matches my home decor and it is one of my favorite colors).  I made distressed roses for this one (see the post on Sunday, October 30 for the Distressed Flower Tutorial) and simply sponged them with Desert Sand ink.   We used Pearl Opaques to embellish the frames - and it covers up some of the stamping issues that occur when stamping on wood, using StazOn, etc.  (you know what I always say....."Mistakes are opportunities to embellish!")

These are the Santa's Workshop Kids Kamp Participants (and teachers):

Thank you sweet kids for making Santa's Workshop Kids Kamp a success.  I look forward to having it again next year!

Sonoma Sweet Moments Card

This card was created from our new 6x6 Kraft Cards (they have the scalloped edge that is a flap), Sonoma Level 2 Paper, Sweet Moments Stamp Set, Heirloom Assortment, Pink Clips, and Green Ribbon Assortment.  I also used the Love Life Stamp Set to stamp the flourish.

Live, Laugh, Love Layout

Sonoma quickly became one of my favorite new kits as I made this layout.  This is the left side of a 2-page layout that I made using our Sonoma Level 2 Paper, Love Life Stamp Set, Hooray Bouquet Stamp Set,  Just Blooms Paper Shapes, Pearl Opaques, Clear Sparkles, and the Heirloom Embellishment Assortment.

This is the right side of the layout.  The pattern is in the Magic How-To Book on page 48 & 49 ("Performance").

**Tip - The technique I used to distress the edges - Smokey Plum Reinker and the Stipple Brush from our Texture Tools set - dip the brush into a craft jar with reinker and use short strokes from the edge of the paper toward the center.

This is a close up photo of the flowers.  They were cut out with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and then stamped with Hooray Bouquet stamp set.  You can also see the detail of the flowers from the Heirloom Assortment.  The Heirloom flowers have adhesive on the back so they are ready to adhere.

Plant Smiles

I guess I am on a pink kick!  I pulled this darling  Sofia Level 2  paper packet out to make another Pinktober card.  Sofia will be retiring at the end of this catalog/ideabook so be sure to purchase yours before it does!   I used Sweet Leaf Ribbon, Pink Button Assortment, and Opaques as well as the Love Life and Treasure Life My Acrylix stamp sets.

Live. Laugh. Love.

I used CTMH  Dreamin' Level 2 Paper to create this 5x7 card.  The stamps I used are:  Love Life stamp set and the Happy Clusters stamp set.  The embellishments on this card are a selection of buttons from the Blue Button Assortment and Mocha Opaques.

Two thicknesses of 3D Foam Tape were used pop the star up and I sponge distressed the edges with Chocolate Ink.

A Harvest of Memories Card

When you see the Mischief paper packet, you automatically think "Halloween."  As you look through the IdeaBook, think outside the box.  Mischief is totally appropriate for Fall projects.  For this card, I used  Mischief paper, Mini Medley Pewter Assortment, Cricut Art Philosophy and coordinating leaf stamp set (in the Cricut bundle), Chocolate Ribbon, Love Life Stamp Set, and So Grateful Stamp Set.

I adhered two of the leaves to the card and the third one is adhered with 3-D Foam Tape (I love that stuff!  No scrapbook bag is complete without it!)

Hip Hip Hooray Birthday Card

This card was created with our Sonoma Paper and features an Heirloom Resin Flower and a Rhinestone Designer Brad.  I also used sparkles to dot the "I's".  This paper is perfect for weddings, heritage, or very elegant scrapbook pages or cards.

I stamped with the following stamps:  D1482 Love Life and D1491  Hooray Bouquet (both of these are my Favorite Picks for this catalog!).
