I know that many of you will recognize this layout as the Typeset Workshop on the Go. The CTMH Art Department does a great job with including new techniques with each workshop kit. We used the Cricut AP Cartridge to cut the large frames (<square4>) that are used as the photo mat. We also cut the stars, the title circles, and the "UR Special" square with the Cricut.
The kit comes with Pearl Paint and Milepost Shapes. We painted the pearl paint randomly on the the base pages and over the Milepost Shapes. We also used the Stencil brush and Cocoa Re-inker and used a stencil drag technique - it is OH SO FUN!!!! I know that of few of you did not enjoy it, but many others did. I think it great to try various techniques and then you are able to decide what your style is! If you didn't order the Typeset Workshop Kit, it isn't too late. Our Workshops on the Go kits are available until the end of our Autumn/Winter Catalog (and they are an incredible value!).

Brayden - I Adore You
The above layout (which is the right side of the 2-page layout) was a project that we made at a home gathering for my dear friend Betsy and her friends. As you can see we used the Typeset Kit, Mini Medley Pewter Assortment, Pin Clips, Black Ribbon, and Black Waxy Flax.
This is the left side of the 2-page layout. And, YES, that is my grand baby and he is four years old! He is getting so big!
The layout pattern is from "Magic", and this layout is called On With the Show. "Magic," as well as our other how-to books, are only $21.95 (plus tax and shipping)! Each book offers many, many patterns and truly makes your scrapbooking faster, simpler, and easier. They are full of tips and techniques, journaling tricks, etc. Contact me to get your copy today (or click the Shop With Me button on the left side in the margin!). Have a blessed day!

O Happy Day Layout
During September, I have focused a lot on CTMH's Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. I hope you are enjoying the artwork created with it. On this layout, I used the Typeset Paper Pack, Dimensional Elements Chipboard Banners (which the <banner2> button cuts perfect banners for these Dimensional Elements), Black Waxy Flax, Mini Medley Pewter Assortment, Black Ribbon, and our new DE Eclectic Alphabet (chipboard alphabet with 4 different resist patterns on them). I also used the Magic Book, Hocus Pocus layout on page 56 and 57 for the cutting guide/pattern. If you don't own this book, it is a must! It is fabulous.
As you can see, this layout will accommodate lots of photos!

Blue Ribbon Effort Card
My $10 Month Playgroup made this card earlier this month and I thought it turned out very cute (ask me for more information about how to join the $10 Month Club). We used the Typeset Paper Pack, C1464 Blue Ribbon (Cricut compatible stamp set), Black Ribbon, and Licorice Opaques. Each month we focus on a technique during our playgroup time, and this month our technique was making a "Pleated Flower"....however, we used the pleated flower on top of the "blue ribbon" which added dimension. This was a fun card to make!

Hooray Bouquet Cricut Card
This entire card was created using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge. Can I just say that our new cartridge rocks?! The card was cut out as a 4 1/2" card from the <banner2> shape on page 29 in the Cricut booklet. I also cut the flowers from the same key. Another cool feature, using the same button, is that it will cut an envelope for the card - you just need to add a 1/2" for the card to slide in the envelope easily - for this card I cut a 5" envelope.
I sponged all of the edges with Vineyard Berry ink as well as the little cut out flowers on the card base. I used CTMH's new Mini Medley Accents Pewter Collection and our new Pin Clips. The stamps that I used were:
D1491 Hooray Bouquet (Cricut compatible) and
D1475 Card Chatter-Birthday.
As you can see in the photo above, I used 3-D Foam Squares to pop the flower, which makes it appear more dimensional. I also used a scoring stylus and curled the flower petals
(similar to the way you would curl curling
ribbon with scissors).
